How ArchTx works

Five stages. The contractor never holds unspent money.

Every ArchTx build moves through the same five stages, deliberately. You never lump-sum. You never wire before the work exists. You never lose visibility of what is happening on your site. The default way construction breaks is designed out at each step.

1

Pick or brief a plan

Filter 17 000+ Kenya-ready plans, or brief a BORAQS-registered architect on your site. CAD sets and specification sheets ship the same day you buy — your architect starts adapting to your plot Monday morning.

Filter by bedrooms, budget, style, floors, site size, county
Every elevation + floor plan visible before you pay
AI-assisted brief converges to a signed spec in 3–4 exchanges, not four weeks
2

Assemble your team

Every contractor on the platform has cleared NCA registration, tax compliance, and past-project ratings. Every supervisor is paid by escrow — not by the contractor they are inspecting. That inversion is the whole trust story.

NCA + KRA + insurance verified before a contractor can bid
Independent supervisor never works for the contractor — sign-off is unconflicted
Bids itemised line-by-line so you compare like-for-like, not vibes-for-vibes
3

Fund one milestone at a time

Load your BuildSafe wallet for the milestone that is about to start — not the whole build, not next quarter's. The contractor knows the money is there; they also know it does not leave until an independent human confirms the work exists.

M-Pesa STK, Airtel, wire, card — all reconciled to one ledger
USD / KES / GBP settlement with the FX rate stamped at deposit
Every disbursement produces a receipt, an audit line, and a webhook
4

Verify remotely, weekly

Weekly supervisor report. Optional KCAA-licensed drone flyover on request. Every photo GPS-EXIF stamped and tied to a milestone. You know what happened this week before your uncle calls you about it.

Photo evidence attached to every milestone claim — dated to the hour
Optional weekly drone flyover on large or remote sites
Read-only dashboard link for your lender, your family, your project committee
5

Handover — and the 7-day retention window

The final tranche is 10% held past sign-off, plus a 7-day defect window that catches the snags a fresh walk-through misses. From handover the 90-day warranty starts auto-tracking — no calendar, no chasing.

Snag-list workflow blocks final release until every item closes
90-day defect warranty tracked in-platform (extendable at handover)
Full document pack ships: as-built drawings, permits, certificates, receipts, insurance

Three structural pieces. Three failure modes closed.

Most Kenyan builds fail on the same three seams: money paid ahead of work, supervision paid by the contractor being supervised, and no verifiable trail from abroad. Each of these closes one.

BuildSafe escrow

Milestone-based release with three tranches (60% on sign-off, 30% after 7-day retention, 10% at handover). Disputes go through platform arbitration first — 87% resolve there, saving the year civil court would take.

Independent supervision

Your supervisor is paid by escrow, not by the contractor. They do not get their fee if they sign off garbage. That inversion is the whole product — everything else is delivery.

Diaspora-safe by default

FX-locked at deposit so a shilling swing does not rewrite your budget. Remote sign-off with two-factor. Family-view read-only links so the cousin who is "checking on it" does not become the audit trail.

Free until you fund your first milestone.

Sign up, brief an architect, get bids, compare. Nothing costs anything until money hits escrow — and even then, 4–7% is all you pay for the whole trust rail.
